Fruit Bouquet using Strawberry, Grapes, Pineapple and Cantaloupe

Fruit Bouquet

This is a simple, yet colourful bouquet using basic fruits. It does not take too much of time as most of the fruits are used whole.

What you need:

A container or a vase with a fairly large mouth.

A small cabbage that will fit into the vase

A pineapple

Some green and black grapes

Flower shaped Cookie / Vegetable cutters

Melon Baller

skewer sticks

1. Cut the cabbage so that it snugly fits into the vase / container.

2. Wash the strawberries and grapes and pat dry with a kitchen towel.

3. Cut the pineapple into approximately 5mm thick discs.

4. Place the disc on a cutting board and cut into flower shapes using the cookie / vegetable cutter. Place the cutter such that the core of the pineapple is at the centre of the cutter.

5. Cut the cantaloupe in half and use the melon baller to form balls. Cut these balls in half.

6. Now skewer the strawberries. Ensure the skewer is inserted deep enough to bear the weight of the strawberries, but should not pierce through the other end.

7. Skewer the grapes. You may alternate the colours of grapes. Ensure the skewer stick does not pierce through the last grape.

8. To form the pineapple flowers, pierce the skewer through the pineapple core. Only around 2-3 mm of the skewer should be seen at the other end. Place half the cantaloupe ball on this fine tip of skewer. The skewer should not pierce through the cantaloupe.

9. Now arrange the skewers in the vase by piercing them into the cabbage.

Your bouquet is now ready!!!
