Chocochip Oat Cookies
I’ve been making this recipe for years now. Can’t really remember the source. Will definitely update this blog once I do remember…..would love to give credit to the one who has written this yummy recipe.
So here goes…..
Ingredients:
Flour 1-1/3 cup
Butter -1 cup
Regular sugar – 3/4 cup
Brown sugar – 3/4 cup
Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
Oats – 3 cups
Eggs – 2
Chocochips – quantity depends on how much you wish to add.
Method:
1. Cream the butter and the sugars.
2. Add the eggs.
3. In a bowl, sift together the dry ingredients (except the oats and chocochips).
4. Once the butter, sugar and eggs are beaten till light and fluffy, slowly add the dry ingredients and beat until combined.
5. Next add the oats, a little at a time and continue to beat till mixed properly.
6. Add the chocochips and mix well.
9. Pre-heat the oven to 190 Deg. C.
10. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place walnut-sized balls of batter on it. Ensure space is kept between two balls of dough.
11. Bake for around 12 – 15 minutes till the cookies turn brown.
Once done, the cookies can be wrapped in cling wrap and used in a cookie bouquet.
